Community Rehearsals
-
A Community Rehearsal is a free, young-adult directed community event. Sound vague and open-ended? It is by design! Young adult Event Directors are given complete freedom and control to design an event most exciting and relevant to their community, so long as it "builds belonging amongst young adults of Boston." We'll supply the mentorship and funding.
Painting classes? Writing workshops? Flash mobs? Dance classes? The possibilities are endless. We'll follow the lead of young adults.
-
All young adults ages 14 - 24 of Boston are invited to attend the Community Dress Rehearsals at no cost. We especially welcome those who identify as LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC.
-
Young adults are invited to apply for a Community Rehearsal grant. The top four proposals will be chosen by young adult Community Leaders, and the four young adults selected will each serve as Event Directors for their imagined event.
Event Directors will be provided a mentor and funding to carry out their plan, and will also be paid for their work.
Most importantly, Community Rehearsals are created by young adults, for young adults.

The location of the events is completely up to the young adult Event Directors. We will work to help make it happen!
There are approximately four Community Rehearsals per year, and often occur on weeknight evenings. Check out our event page for specific upcoming dates!
